RADIUS I, II, III & IV 2019
The Radius Drawings were part of Disputed Territories Series of works commissioned for Counter-Landscapes Exhibition, curated by Jennifer McCabe for Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art – Scottsdale, Arizona.
Gouache, color pencil, wood veneer, vellum, denim, and thread on handmade paper.
This series explores “place identity” through hatched colored lines and questions the ways in which we divide, use, and share land, and how our borders (or lack thereof) determine our interactions with the land we inhabit.
